Some of you may know I haven't been teaching since September.

Had a crash and melt down.

I'm opening up a new business - begins 20 December.

It's a mobile salon offering Relaxation Massage, Body Waxing and Spray Tanning.

So nervous. Stats show 70% of small businesses fail in the first year of opening .... I have to make this work because I might not be able to enter the teaching profession again.

Where are you at in this present point in time? What are you up to?

I like the sounds of your business and I wish you all the best! If I was in Australia I'd totally support your business!

Currently I'm in DBT. I'm on the verge of committing myself to hospital. It's been rough this last few weeks.

I'm in a masters program in medical physiology, consistently underperforming. I've never gotten above the class average on an exam. I hope to go to med school.

I flirted with the idea of opening a coffee shop a while ago, but I ran some numbers and realized that there was no chance of it working out. But it would have been great. I love coffee shops. I like the intellectual atmosphere. One of my favorite things is to go to a coffee shop with my laptop, get a scone and a latte, and write for hours.

I trained to be a human rights lawyer, however my partner of several years was diagnosed with Cancer, so I gave it up to take care of him, until he passed away.

After that and grieving for a long time, I went into finance, as I couldnt find a law job anymore. I met a lovely guy shortly after and in doing so life seemed fine.

A good job was mine again in a firm I liked, with a man I loved. However recently that's all seemed to have fallen apart again.

My work place has become a place of stress, since a new employee started who drives me up the wall and my partner finally decided to end our relationship about 36 hours ago, saying he didnt love me anymore as it was just too hard to love me with my constant arguments and telling him how he failed me.

Only over the last few months have i slowly been coming to the realisation that my partner was not an awful person and that the problem may well be with myself, so I signed up for counselling without telling him. (he has slight issues with mental health concerns and I didn't want him to think I was crazy). Alas I never got the chance to improve, as my counseling sessions don't start til the new year.

So at the moment I feel somewhat dejected and low. Hoping that I can turn this rejection into a positive and learn how to adapt myself, so that I don't push those I love away.

Hey

I work for an escort agency on reception but work from home! I have just set up a work space in the corner of the living room and I must say it's a hell of a lot better than working from the sofa! I used to sit cross legged all day and started having pains ub my right hip so a desk was really needed.

I'm Currently in England - Lincolnshire but hubby and I are moving to the south coast (cornwall) next Spring to start a new business venture with a friend. His friend has set up a tyre shop and garage where they break cars, it is going well and he want to open a new one 40 miles away, so me and hubby are investing half the money and hubby will go to work there. He is pretty limited due to a bad accident 20 yrs ago so will only work part time and get staff in to cover when he isn't there.

I am in a really good place at the moment! Hubby and I are getting on sooooo well and I feel as though we are falling in love all over again. We were having a lot of arguments but past month there hasn't been any and we are just goofing around laughing and really connecting! I think this has something to so with the fact I am feeling better and hubby has also come out of the depression he was in. I want this to last forever....hmmm I doubt it but I will enjoy it while it lasts.

Today I am going to look into starting a private pension for hubby and I. Work is going so well right now so want to start putting a bit of money away for retirement. I am also working today but it's Sunday and mostly quiet on a Sunday so will be doing some research.

I'm glad to hear that you sound well.

Putting money aside for pension is always wise. Which is why I'm a little scared I'm not working right now ....

It always helps when we're gett along well with our significant others.

May this be the way forward from now on for you.

(((((dancinglady)))))

I am sorry that you're feeling so miserable right now.

I can understand your pattern of thought (I often find myself in that same pattern). Just remember, this moment will pass. There will be more ups ~ they're right around the corner! Try to stay present in this very moment though.

Where am I?

Well, hating my current job at an iPhone repair shop, where the mall is open from 9 until 9 and my erratic schedule is phukking with my brain.

Where am I at?

Most likely going IP end of January for a 6 week intensive therapy program to help stabilize and undo what this job so swiftly did.

Wish I could quit, right now, but that's not an option. My daughter has a birthday, Christmas and the new school year coming up.

That shyt costs money, serious money.

Where I would like to be?

At a flexi time job or working from home, writing or doing admin.

Alas, no such luck finding these jobs.

Hooligan, I wish you all the best with your mobile salon!!!

Hooligan, I wish you all the best with your mobile salon!!!

I hate this time of year.

The financial strain that is.

I'm feeling it even more so now that I don't have a permanent income.

Hang in there with your job. Yeah it may be c rap but money is money .... Or for right now anyway .... Certainly doesn't mean you have to be there forever.

Take care and let us know how you are traveling.

Ps - my daughter just had her 11th birthday on Sunday
Thanks for this!
