I edited this because I started to feel self conscious about my 'over-share'.

Google "stalking" there's plenty of entries. I don't know whether the condition is connected to your bpd. I confess to not being too informed on the state.

Do you think that it might be possible that since you only know this Psychologist through the bare bones of what you've gleaned from the net etc he has been fleshed out by your mind and thus you have a kind of imaginary lover? In reality this love object bears no resemblance to the the real guy.

Technically stalking is defined as involving actual harassment.

I have in him an imaginary companion of sorts, for sure. He's like a template onto which I've pasted ideal traits I've found sorely lacking in myself and others. I'm living a very isolated life at the moment, so it makes a bit of sense that something like this would happen. At least I'm well aware that I don't know the actual person...and don't really want to either.

It's not called stalking, it's called investigating.

And to be honest, I have done that over facebook, noticed about myself quite some times ago, stopped using it so I can focus my energy somewhere.

I've been there many times in my life, it's not a pleasant secret to share.
