Well I think it is true. I think I have finally grown out of this disorder. I am just starting to notice that my behavior thoughts and feelings are ok. Of course I am 65 and all the productive years are gone.

dancing lady I asked a question if disorders do improve over time. As I remember the response was that disorders can improve over time with a concerted effort. Meds and therapy speed up the process.

65 is not too old to follow your fancy. AARP has many inspiring stories of people over 50 that turned their life around. CALLINGS by Gregg Levoy is a book that helps many people to find their true calling.

I was in therapy for 34 years. A lot of time energy and money wasted. I just grew out of it at 65. Many many lost years and earning power. I have too many medical problems at this point to turn my life around.

That is awesome news. I think you should celebrate, maybe go on a trip or even an over night get away?

I'm so glad for you! I'm only 20 and I'm so worried that my whole life is going to go to waste with this disorder, and the other ones I have. I feel purely hopeless...

I now only have traits of BPD and even those seem mild. Now if I could just get rid of anxiety and depression I will be doing so much better.

Yes, at 67, I seem to be developing the ability to look back calmly at the insanity of my life & wonder how it was I allowed it all to occur. But, for me, it's as if I were standing in my home, after I've destroyed it with a sledge hammer, & wondering what the hell happened...
