New information for me. Here is an article about 4 subtypes of BPD. You may fit in one, some, or all types. Which one do you think you fit?

wow, that's quite the combination. I don't think I've encountered anyone with three diagnosed personality disorders. But many of them overlap quite a bit and it's easy to fit into more than one. Were you diagnosed as all three by the same clinician or were those diagnosed by separate individuals?

DBT was designed for the middle two types but I'm not sure how helpful it is for the others. I'm more self - destructive than anything I think.

I had to do a very accurate psych assessment. It was done by one clinician. (Long story why I had to do it).

Thorough background check into years of therapy, clinician talked to old therapists / family. I had to do two lengthy psych exams.

I got borderline as primary diagnosis as well as high on Avoidant and Dependent traits; I met criteria for all of them. And yes - people do often have comorbid diagnosis.

Thanks,

Mainly discouraged type, but maybe a bit of petulant. I largely keep my worse behaviors to myself but sometimes they become hard to control.

How is the new therapy working for you. It must be extremely hard with your issues. Did you get a good T this time.

I hope the new therapy is going well

I wouldn't presume to judge how "hard" or otherwise it must be....you're brave to give therapy another go (I did but didn't bond with the other t... and now things are pretty ****ed up )
