I have been in the er over 100 times for suicide attempts since the age of 15 or 16.im now 24 nothing has changed.ive often been the victim of abuse by the security gaurds and. Emotional and physical.my best friend tells me i should report them i told her i don't want to make things worse.my therapist says dont go to the er which is impossible and she should be saying don't hurt yourself but shes to loyal to the medical place she works for and often blames me for what ive done wrong.
The other day i was in the er and the security gaurds asked me joking about my weight if i was expecting a child and then began to joke with the other security gaurds that it was theres.at one point i started crying, partly because of them but i wanted my mom who had said shed come and see me and didn't but also my conversion disorder was acting up so i couldn't move and i was frustrated.ive thought about writing an article or raising awareness on adult bullying but don't know how if you have any suggestions would be great.

WOW! I'm sorry you have had to endure those experiences. They sound incredibly painful. No ideas on the article yet but if I think of something I'll come back.

I'm sorry you had to experience that, I know it's painful but their manifestations are about them, not you. Even though they make it seem like it, it's their insecurities and lack of empathy. Also, when in groups, people automatically give away parts of their responsibilities and even compassion, empathy, all gets reduced so then it's more possible to act disrespectfully towards others. But that doesn't mean that the other (you) deserves it, not at all.
Related to writing about it, I think it's a good idea, just starting maybe to write for yourself, to write it out in a journal. If you haven't already. Just to write out your feelings. Then, if you feel like writing an article on it, you could do that too.

Some people are just pigs, and don't deserve the attention they get.

A good place to start a documentary on adult bullying would be using your cell phone to record it when it happens to you, like the woman who recorded all the cat-calls she got walking down the street. Then she uploaded them to prove harassment is real. People were outraged.

I'd love to see the look on those pigs faces when you ask them nicely to please repeat it for the camera. If it's on tape they can be held accountable. Otherwise everyone who teases you will think they got away with it.
