I'm Sydney,

I'm 46 years old but emotionally I'm a teenager. I was diagnosed with BPD when I was 21. I hate myself!! I'm nothing. I was in a great mood today, we all know how that goes.

Just happy to knock myself out, Seroquel.

I look forward to meeting new ppl.
Hugs from:

Hello Sydney: Welcome to PsychCentral! Well... I'm 69! And although I don't feel like a teenager (too many aches & pains) my brain sometimes seems to cause me to act as if I were. (Growing old gracefully is definitely not in the cards for me.) Anyway there are lots of good people here & there's lots of support that can be available. Best wishes...

Hi Sydney, and welcome to PC!

I'm 51 (52 next month). My BPD hasn't been as bad as it was in the past, but there's still times when the negative self-talk kicks in. I work hard on my emotions in therapy. I have also done Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). It helps with daily life, staying in the present and objectively evaluating my feelings instead of instantly reacting to them. I'm also on medication and have stable relationships.

Hope you find what you need here.

Hi Sydney,

Welcome to the forums!

Tell us more about yourself aside from the illness.

I relate to how you feel about feeling younger. Sometimes I don't even know how old I feel but I know it is really young. I have teddy bears and blankies and diapers that I use to help self-soothe that little side.

Thanks,
HD7970ghz
