Hi all I'm hoping someone can chime in. It seems like DBT is the go to therapy for BDP. Unfortunately there are no therapists in my area who specialise in this. There are also no support groups. I am not in the US.

Has anyone found any other forms of therapy effective?

Or maybe worked through any DBT workbooks on their own? Did it work?

There is a DBT self-help website. I have used it and it has helped. DBT Self Help

DBT is actually a specialized version of CBT, so someone trained in CBT would be a help.

Several therapists recommended this book. Maybe it will help. http://https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1572245131/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1523109871&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=dbt+workbook
Also, on YouTube there is a therapist who does videos twice a week and she has very helpful tips. Just search for Kati Morton. I hope this helps.

The link doesn’t work. The Dialetical Behavior Therapy skills workbook. By Matthew McKay is the book. It has a green cover.

Interesting that ACT was developed before DBT - I tend to feel DBT is a bit of a pick and mix approach
