2 weeks clean tomorrow from speed, crystal meth and coke mostly. Had to leave an emotionally and mentally abusive relationship to get away from the drug scene. I wanted to talk about it and she didn't have time to hear it, so I left her. Now we are both trying to stay clean and work on our mental and physical health. She wants to get back together, is acting like things haven't changed, and I KNOW that is a terrible idea at this point... This is our third breakup for the same reason, things aren't going to change. It's just hard to lose the love of my life to addiction.

Stay strong! That's a big accomplishment and you should be proud. Sorry it's linked to someone you love but you've got to put the mask on yourself before saving somebody else.

CongrAtulations on 2 weeks clean. I've had drug problems in the past too so I can relate . It's still early days in your recovery , all your strength has to go towards focusing and looking after yourself . You are so brave to do this and you have a level head realising you need to do this seperstely . Who knows you may both recover well and end up back together but meanwhile please love and care for you

As it is said in Narcotics Anonymous: Some must die so that others may live.

I hope that you both have long, happy and clean lives. Congrats on two weeks.
