"You could stand to lose some weight."
"Just rinse your mouth out after."
"You are just doing it for attention."
"Everybody does it."
"I don't believe you."
"You're not underweight."
"Just don't let it get dangerous."
"Better out than in."
"Skinny never...
I won't finish the last one because that's the one that kills me every time. My metabolism is all to hell and I gained tons of weight. I've lost a toddler in weight since last year. I should be happy, but I'm not. I can never be happy.

My doctor doesn't think I have a problem. I know it's a problem. My gums bleed. I try not to do it. I try so hard. Sometimes my stomach ache from my other medications help. Now that I'm off welbutrin, I pretend I won't get seizures from it. I don't really want to talk about it...I just want someone to understand and tell me where to get help.

Also, I wish I could afford to get lasering for my periodontal problems.

I can stop this. I can, can't I?

Please tell me this is the end and I can be invisible. Please tell everyone else it isn't about being skinny always. Sometimes it's about being perfect, not me, not you, not there.
Hugs from:

Before you worry about dental issues you need to get help for your ED. look for a FAA in your area because they will probably be able to direct you better to the help you need.

No I know it's not a weight loss thing, it's an eating disorder group for anorexia & bulimia. You don't have to go to the group but call and ask for the resources in your area because it's not right that you are being blown off so you can't get help.

People who say those things don't understand. Bulimia doesn't necessarily cause weight loss. The constant acidic irritation of the throat really puts people at risk for esophageal cancer though.

But it sounds like you know it's a problem though, which is what really matters. By knowing, you can search out people who can help and take steps to help yourself. Keep at it. Ignore the ignorant. Screw 'em, 'cause they're not helping.
