Woke up this morning and knew a flare was coming on. Things just got worse as the day went on. I'm wrapped up in my heated throw hoping it will help. So far it's not helping.

Anyone else ever feel like you want to have a screaming hissy fit during a flare - yell, scream, swear, break things sort of temper tantrum, but it would take too much friggin' energy you don't have? Intenrally I'm having an absolute hissy fit. Externally I'm rolled in a ball wishing the pain would go away.

omg. i'm sorry you're suffering. I can't imagine applying heat right now. I had a 4 pm T appt today, so I was out catching the bus at 3:30 and 5 - very sunshiney times, 94 degrees which is around 30 canadian. I got home and thank god the pool was cool, I needed to dissipate some body heat. I told a fellow swimmer, I could see how blow-holes evolved, that would have felt so good today! I could not dunk my head enough. hopefully it will cool off in a couple of days.
Thanks for this!

Oh jeez -- do you have fibro? I'm so sorry you're hurting so! I DO know all about pain, as I've been a chronic painer for over 26 years, with spinal pain -- and it's just about ready to kill me. And i've had my share of hissy fits too!

Wish I had a pool to jump into cause it's in the 90's here in Michigan and the humidity is super high here too! UGH

Prayers to all who are screaming in pain tonight! Hugs, Lee

LOL!! Hankster I live in Florida. Temps here have been in the 90s for weeks. I came home and turned the AC down so I could wrap up in the throw. It's one of the few things that helps with the pain. Sounds silly I know, but if it helps I'll do it!

Oh I could throw a huge hissy fit right now but I don't have the energy! You are not alone in feeling that way. My back is giving me a very bad time.

Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Do the wild fluxauctions in barometric pressure that accompany the thunderstorms around west Florida affect your pain, lizardlady? I have something like degenerative disk disease, and the storms we've had in recent weeks have set off some of the worst pain I've had since last summer.
Thanks for this!

Oh thunderstorms are killers for me! I can tell the weather is going to change hours before they happen. As much as I love summer here it's one of the worst times of year for pain.

I agree. I also get migraines and the barometric pressure can bring one on in the summer months. It is a bad time for pain right now.
