I have yet to find a neuro that cares... even though I have proof of problems, sometimes you just have to chalk it up to them and move on

Doctors as a group are usually social misfits, but neurologists are misfits amongst misfits.....no social graces at all

No offense to any doctors out there, but decent doctors are EXTREMELY hard to find. Such has been my experience, anyway.

Imo, one can be EITHER a good dr OR a human being.......one cannot be both. They have to detach their feelings from their pts or else they'd be thinking about the pts most of the time.

It all comes down to money, just like almost everything else in this world, unfortunately......

Call me cynical. That's how I feel. Sorry.

Hang in there, Inny.......(((((((((((((((((((Inny))))))))))))))))))))

thanks ((((((((((((everyone))))))))))))))

Yea, the more this is happening....the more i am getting cynical too. I had to go to the ER and the all the doctor did was TALK to me....it turned out to be 175 dollers so a doctor could talk to me...even though i was in a ton of pain!!
I have the doctors appointment tommrow we will see how that goes...I have been taking my IBS medication and im still having difficulty...getting my blood test results back tommrow...im guessing their good since i havent heard sooner...if they are bad or weird and he hasnt called me by now so help me God i will flip out on him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Inny,

How about looking into alternative medicine? I.e., accupuncture, homeopathic supplements, etc. Might help.

Inny,

I know, I know: alternative therapies can be very costly. Does your college and/or work cover you medically at all??? Can you find a college near you that teaches massage treatment or accupuncture or holistic medicine? They usually charge significantly less if you seek Tx w/ a student (who is supervised by a dr.).

Hope that helps.

Yoga is actually really good. I started back up on Tuesday.

Hope that helps.

I think most ppl think that about yoga and meditation, like they can't do it after a little bit of trying because they can't slow their mind down. But that is what learning how to meditate does! Someone doesn't just sit down and voila' they "do" mediation first time trying.

It is a learning process.. .that's the whole point, you work on learning how to do it because you need to slow down your mind and thoughts. i hate doctors... It does take practice, but it is the cheapest alternative therapy going...and it does work!

drs are a mixed bunch like the rest of the professions ,the book ,disabling professionals, is an attack on the professions worth a read, some say they are self serving ,overpaid, and servants of the drug companies ,i'd say some are,but not all, they cannot form attachments as they would quickly burnout ,i think to myself how much does it cost to care?
