It's been two weeks that I got into an accident and was treated for head injury, bruised ribs and hip with severe sprain in ankle. One of my friend suggested me to do physiotherapy treatment from Mississauga(PhysioNow). also have stiff neck and headaches. Is there something else I need to get treated for a normal recovery.

Hello Johaanpatter: Welcome to PsychCentral! I see this is your first post. I'm sorry it has taken a couple of days for you to receive a reply. I presume you've seen a physician. If not, this is really the first step. It would, I presume, be up to the doctor to determine if there is a need for physical therapy. At least this is the way it works where I live. One needs a referral from a physician for physical therapy. Depending on how severe the injury to your head was, an MRI might also be called for.

I had one serious auto accident years ago. It took awhile for things to get back to normal. However, since it's been 2 weeks since your accident I would think either seeing a physician for an initial consult, or going back in for a follow-up would be appropriate. The longer you wait, the more difficult it may become to treat any significant injuries. It is true that sprains & bruises can take a while to resolve. And if that is all you have perhaps it's just a matter of waiting the healing process out. But better to be safe than sorry I would think. I wish you well... Please keep posting!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
