I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had their RA / Arthritis effect them not only on and around their foot area....... but also under their foot - on the souls of their feet?

I am having this (2nd flare) and it is literally impossible to have any kind of life during these long flare up periods..... for how can one walk when the bottom of their feet are in flamed and in sever pain. RA under Foot

I hate to even have to get up and walk to go to the restroom..... I will cut down on my fluids for a while.

Hmm that must be painful!

I wonder about cutting back on fluids though, my PT says to drink MORE liquids to help take away the toxins that contribute to the problem.

Guess I have to fall back on the old line, what does your doctor say???

I'm sharing you're pain - i wish we could trade off with each other and have pain one day while someone else is pain free - wouldn't that be nice? Then we would all have some nice days.

I'm thinking of you.......Tranquility

Yes....... that would be wonderful - and I would take a day of pain from you for just one nights rest with out pain in my head.

This ugly head pain has been interfering with my sleep - I have not slept good for the last year or so... staying up until 5 am some times just so I could literally crash for an hour or two.

i have just started back walking again & the bottoms of my poor feet are hurting & aching something awful. i know its where ive gained so much weight & the weight on my feet with a 4 mile walk is very hard on them right now. dont wanna walk any less cuz i dont feel like ive gotten a good enough workout. ive been thru this before & when im at a lighter weight my feet are fine even with jogging. this just brought to memory blue arch supports i used to buy when i walked before. i had forgotten all about those. i have high arches & its the plantar facia that flares up. but the outer edges of my feet are hurting also. have always wore new balance but just cant afford a new pair right now. the ones im wearing have quite a bit of miles on them. a foot massage would feel so good right now.

I get RA pain in the soles of my feet, some days I can barely get up and walk because of it, and when I do get moving its so slowwww. The other days the rest of my body takes turns who get to be the pain star of the day. It just finished being my knees after 5 days or so. Now its shoulders/wrists/jaw since yesterday, who knows how long it will be for During the transition from knees to shoulders one day they overlapped and I layed down on the edge of my bed, and then couldn't move to get up or get fully onto the bed. I started out thinking like 'Oh haha funny, I can't move'. Then after laying there for 10mins and I still couldn't move either way, I got frustrated and started crying. My husband had to drag me across the bed and move me up to the pillows. If that didn't feel stupid When they start ganging up on me I wish I could be just a head that people could carry around, no joints to hurt save my jaw, which would be pain alot less often than I have now

Hi Dear Rhapsody,

I have been dealing with foot pain for four years now to varying degrees. My problems emanated from hammer and mallet toe issues, and two neuromas.

I had surgery on both feet at the end of May, and the pain just subsided about two weeks ago.

What finally worked for me were orthodics, but your situation is entirely different.

I will keep you in my prayers ~

Feel free to PM me.

I've been told its not RA with me, but Fibro, but it does affect my feet and sometimes it aches just to walk. It really puts a damper on anything I need to do so I can sympathize.
