Jan maybe it is the sound that upsets Belle; mute it and see if you can still watch the picture until it is better. Poor pup

Thanks, Kiya. That might do it, but she watches that screen very closely.

I went to the Board Meeting for the first time since I the Drs told me I had a tumor and I went into such a depression. It was scary going back tonight but what shocked me most was I was more nervous after I got home. I don't understand.

I tried to carry too many groceries at one time and I've hurt my back muscles as well as my spine. I took one of the contraband Aleves. I don't know what else to do.

Belle decided to run like a banshee all over the apartment and jump up on my lap and "attack" me on each pass. She let out a fearsome growl each time she sailed through.

Thank you, Gus. I slept last night, and I have residual pain, but I don't really know how I feel this morning. I know that sounds silly, but I just don't know yet.

Thank you for the wonderful pictures.

Makes sense to me. I have maybe one or two functional brain cells when I first get up. I joke I have to climb the evolutionary scale every morning because I start the day as slime mold.

I so understand, Liz! It takes me at least an hour or more before I can even think.

I go back to the new pdoc today. I don't know why I'm so nervous, but I am. As I always tell myself, "This, too, shall pass.",
but it's going to be a doozy. I'm taking pocket riders again. Please feel free to volunteer.

Sending out support, everyone! Hugs to those that want them! And I also volunteer “pocket rider-ness” to anyone

Spasming in just one upper arm tonight.... an improvement I do suppose

Gus, I love that picture! Thank you.

I made it to the psych. It's really hard because he doesn't know me and I don't know him. I went to my former pdoc for 15 or 16 years, and she was very gentle. I miss her. Anyway, he increased my Effexor XR. It seems to be helping.

The back pain is still with me. Belle and I slept in my bed last night for the first time in months. It didn't help the pain at all. My favorite part was when Belle decided to stand up and reach down and touch her nose to my nose.

I left two Jolly Ranchers candies on the antique trunk I use as a side table yesterday. While I was gone, Belle ate them! Fortunately she did not eat the wrappers. I found them this morning. Well, actually, I found one wrapper. I don't know where the other one is.

I've felt rotten today, and the pain has not left. As a result, I didn't get any work done and I have so much I want to do.

The neighbors got into a terrible fight. Belle went to the door and I made her come and sit on my lap because I was afraid shots would be fired. Anyway, we're both safe.

Does anyone know how I can teach Belle not to chew the wires inside an electric blanket? My friend is giving one to me. I had one when I first found Belle, but she chewed the wires out of it. I put an old one on the bed so we'd stay warm and she chewed the wires tonight. I fussed at her and it scared her so badly that she wet the chair and sat huddled, shivering. I can't let her ruin the blanket but I can't frighten her like that. Any suggestions would be more than appreciated. I feel horrible about it. She's ok now. I held her close and whispered to her.

Jan, do you mean the wires going from the blanket to the wall? How about coating it with something like pepper sauce, something nasty tasting?

No, Liz, it's the actual wires within the blanket itself. I thought I would get out my huge comforter and cover it up all the time until right before we go to bed. I won't hear her if she decides to tear them to tiny bits while I'm asleep though.

A Warm Hello to All!

I have not been on the forums much. I have been tired and busy with medical appts. My mother has healed well (hip replacement) and is now staying busy socially, which is great for her wellbeing.

It's been interesting to read and catch up on posts.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Oh, I am very happy for Christina's recent good news! Hallelujah!

Love to All!

Well we are back from our trip. The plane ride takes a lot out of me. Everything went pretty well until the morning we were supposed to leave I lost my temper. I kinda got mad at hubby half way through the trip but instead of arguing with him I set my plate down and went into the bedroom.

I had a lot of seizures during the trip and when we landed to meet our connection they told everyone they had to remain seating for a medical emergency I looked at hubby and said it's not for me right and he said no.

We had a big surprise when we got home. My two brother in laws were supposed to be taking care of our animals. His brother stayed here a few nights and let me tell you I came home to a sink full of dishes. Dirty pots and pans on the stove. We opened the front door and the house smelled. I was beyond mad. Before I could do anything I had to wash my bedding since someon slept in my bed. Then dishes and empty the trash can in the kitchen. For some odd reason they put trash in the trash can but no bag who does that. They. Never once sprayed down the dog kennel. They did change the cat litter but I think they did that the day before we arrived home. the cats peed in the bath tub so I had to get the bleach out. I bleached it then I comet it then I pine soled it. I still haven't unpacked my bags.

The poor cats are traumatized. McGee is very skittish and it took a few hours for Sunny to come out of hiding. Sammy the dog was ok. Oh that's the other thing. Dog kibble all over the kitchen and the front room. What the heck were they doing?

Ok I am done. I hurt from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. My uncle who went with us was sick and now I think I have it.. Not to happy about that. Oh well I will be in bed early tonight

Hugs to all

Cake, I can't tell you how horrified I am on your behalf. Where was your husband during all this cleaning you had to do?

I hope you feel better very soon.

I'm going to take Belle and go to the cemetery today and get my parent's bronze marker ready for winter.
I hope to prepare my sister-in-law's, also. It's a long way from here, but it has to be done. I can't get down on the ground and clean them any more, so I'm going to try to bend over and do it. If you never hear from me again you'll know I've fallen over in the cemetery and can't get up!
