Trav, heat most definitely helps me. I've been known to crank the temp down on the A/C so I can wrap up in a heated throw to help with the pain.

I'm honestly not sure.

I think if I'm having a bad day with the pain, I'm having a bad day with the pain. no amount of heat really does anything

today could be better as far as pain goes, but not the worst it's been this week

I am going back to the pain management doc tomorrow-he's the one I started with for the sjogrens and arthritis. He had given me a shot in the shoulder before we knew it was a rotator cuff tear. I am going to ask to temporarily increase my pain medication to get through pt and so I can sleep. I only take a small amount (5mg twice a day) so I cant imagine it would be an issue. I am going on my third day of only having been able to sleep for two hours. I started out in the bed-then recliner-sofa and back to the recliner. I had a pt eval and start it tomorrow. Everyone I have talked to that has pt for rotator cuff says the pain is worse with pt.

Me too. Left handed hair brushing is so hard. I broke down and used my right hand and regret it now

My NEW level of pain (the one I refer to as THAT PAIN ... THE SOB) is because the arthritis in my hip has advanced from moderate to severe, while the arthritis in my lower back (sacroiliac joint) has advanced from mild to moderate.

Gonna have to learn to cope with this NEW level of pain while I figure out what options I have that aren't too invasive.

Surgery is out of the question due to time and money, as well as some other factors involving long term trauma and abuse.

It sucks, but it is what it is.

wasted day today.
can't say I'm surprised. it's been so long since I've actually done something of importance (partly because of the pain, partly because of deep, deep depression)

I caught a respiratory bug from the little walking petrie dishes I work around. That's set off my fibro and CFS. I'm exhausted. I hurt. I know from experience it is going to take weeks for this to clear up. Life sucks.

Wow it's been a week or so since since I have been on and the whole look has changed.

Liz sorry you caught something it seems like it's always one thing or another

I have only been getting 2-3 hours of sleep at a time if I am lucky the pain is off the charts and it doesn't look like it's going to get better anytime soon new laws went into affect and they had to cut my pain meds down and take me off my good seizure med I have been on that seizure med for almost 11 years but someone now thinks its to dangerous to take it with my pain meds. Hello walk in my shoes for just one day

Anyway sending gentle hugs and positive vibes to everyone

I have intense pain right smack in the middle of my back between my shoulder blades. It feels like I was hit with a bat, and I am trying all sorts of stretches to get it to go away. Its almost like I need to crack it...

Today's not a good day. I mean, with the sustained rythmn I had for 2 weeks, pushing past what I can normally do, I kinda saw it coming.

I caught some cold or virus, I have fever and I'm good for nothing. Every inch of my body aches. The weather has been awful, for a change. Really hope I catch a bit of a break soon. :/

Hello !!!

I want to share something.

Early March at my annual physical my Dr told me studies are showing the taking Mucinex daily some how changes the receptors for pain.

I do notice a difference. Not a OMG it’s a miracle but it’s something .... it’s shown that the longer you take it will help more.

Hey anything for a chance of less pain~

I am not coping well with the pain, at all.

why does everything have to be so hard? (and so painffull)

even with my grabber which seemed a really good idea at the time (and for a few weeks it really helped), I'm not getting much better

shower day never gets any easier, that is all I'm saying on that. the pain was so severe (especially in my arms and back)

apart from that coping okay. I've actually been working on updating my music collection, really happy with how it's going
