I am in a lot of pain today.

so this morning during my shower, I had problems moving my arms/ legs and had breathing difficulties, none of this I'm going to collapse, none of that... but I did, what I like to call, " sway", and quite fast

just about made it to breakfast in a lot of agony, ate breakfast, and then came back to my room and just chilled out.

I'm feeling better now (I'm breathing normally, and I'm not in pain), um..... okay, I am a little in my legs

I hate chronic pain, especially when it flares up really bad- all the energy in you just goes away

going to eat some chips this afternoon and post a bit on here

and then find something for dinner

I saw my pdoc yesterday. Told him about how much pain and exhaustion I have. He asked if I thought I needed to go on FMLA. I decided to hold off on that. My boss is really good about letting me work from home if I need to and flexing my time.

It's the three day Labor Day weekend in the States this weekend. I am taking Tuesday off too. So I get a four day weekend. Am going to work on cleaning here and at mom's Saturday and Sunday. Then I'd like to do a whole lot of nothing Monday and Tuesday. It's taking me forever to get Mom's place ready to go on the market. I alternate between stressing over it and just accepting I can only do a bit at a time.

There's a tropical storm down around the Keys. Change in barometric pressure is killing me.

Plans in last post have gone the way. I decided not to go work at Mom's this weekend. I spent Saturday playing with the horses, then came in and played on the new phone. (I posted about the phone in the social form.) Spent part of yesterday trying to clean my place so I can move the stuff I want from Mom's here. Currently at the stage of making more mess before it gets cleaned up.Not sure how much I'm going to get done today and tomorrow. I hurt and I'm exhausted. My right knee woke me up this morning. Normally my left is worse. Today the right one wants to be the most noticed.

Gawd I hate this disorder.

I'm sorry, liz. Pain during days off is especially a bummer.

I'm having a lot of aching today, too. I wouldn't think a storm in the gulf would be affecting me, but something is.

Trav, there's a high pressure area that is steering the storm. Maybe that's what's getting you?

The pain from the surgery is getting better but it's still quite a bit... surviving tho. It's not too much.

have been in quite a bit of pain today.

had my shower this morning- and the entire experience made my body feel rough (just touching my body ached)

pain progressed throughout the day, but not to a point where I'm unable to cope

not yet anyway

I always thought I had a weak pain threshold (and I suppose I do for external stuff), but I can take a lot internally

Oh Christina I love this and plan to use it!

Maybe it's something about the weather right now that's getting us?

No school for the kids today so I took the day off. Slept 11 hours! I had plans to work around the house/farm today. I still hurt like holy bejeebers and don't have a single functional brain cell in my head today. I may spend the day curled on the sofa feeling sorry for myself.

Our weather has been weird. Hot one minute then cold and winds like you would not believe. I don't know if I am coming or going. My brother in law is in the hospital he had his surgery and they said it was a success but he still can't swallow and he can't lift his head up and his arms are numb and tingly so are his fingers. So they looked and listened this time and he was just dx with ALS. So now we have to have a family meeting with doctors and stuff because they want him out of the hospital but he can't live alone. So it looks like he might be coming to my house again. Lord help me I don't know how I a, going to manage.

Positive vibes and hugs to everyone. I hope we hear from Jan soon

entirely wasted day

overate, then threw myself on the bed and watched winnie the pooh

pain.... bleh.... neither good or bad

I'd like to know why sometimes when I'm in pain it feels like I'm 10 feet off the ground. it would be interesting to know if anyone else here ever gets that- sort of like a floaty sensation (complete with ears that are trying to go)

should have done more today but blah

this is me we're talking about here

the most exciting thing I do is drink a can of coke from a bottle and not a can

Still hurting from the surgery, but its getting better.

The pain is really making me depressed, though. I don't want to do anything... I just want to stay home and sit on the computer or sleep all the time... I need to stay moving and not take the pain meds (the heavy duty ones) as often as I had been.

I need to taper off them as soon as possible. Which means being in pain part of the day... which means being more depressed all the time. I hate this. I don't want to keep doing this... I wish the pain would just go away...

I don't deal with fibromyalgia or chronic pain, so I don't really know what you all are going through. But I was just wondering if anyone has tried Eastern medicine (such as acupuncture) for chronic pain. I have heard sometimes it can be just as effective as pain meds but without the addiction. Just a thought.

I had my shower today.

pain was bad (reminds herself to get her shower chair working), not to mention I felt so gross afterwards (same old body issues)

I'm less stiff today though which is one thing. for the past 2/3 days I have been really stiff

I am in so much pain today.

so bad it is almost like a burning sensation

I'd say the worst it's been in a while, but then... I don't know. it's not as bad as when I just shook with pain
