I am sorry to hear about the pain that you are in.

My husband also has chronic pain and a paralyzed right arm and lots of other injuries. Long. long story.

It's something I wish I could understand.

I guess it effects your whole life. I had a lot of sympathy at first. But these last couple years I have lost my sympathy for him and I don't know why.

Is there not another operation they could do to fix it? Or a nurve block maybe? Eleven years is a long time, I'm sure you've explored all of your options.

Hopefully you've been compensated for their mistake.

Take care and I hope things get better soon.

Yes, chronic pain breeds depression...fact of life.

I live with whole body chronic pain 24/7 from an accident that could have killed me. I lived the first several years without any meds, as no doctor cared. I suffer bad pain 24/7
One of my additional pains comes from the EMG I had where the doctor damaged the nerve he was testing, in my left thumb. No one has bothered to address that though, and in the scope of things, I guess it doesn't matter at this point.

The best we can hope for is good pain management, and maybe a future fix. Do you have a therapist to help you with pain management? I couldn't live without mine, personally. After 20 years, I still need (yes need) to see him 3x a week.

Tell us more, if you're up to it. I suffer bad pain 24/7
