when you go to save as what does it show? can you copy the text and paste it into a word document?
if you are familiar with screen shots that would help me tremendously but if not I am willing to work with you on the issue. I am very literate when it comes to computers so be as specific as possible and I will help in any way I can |

I don't think you can save someone else's Adobe file with the info in it unless they set up their software to allow that. You have to have the whole/real adobe suite (multi-hundreds of dollars) to do a lot of "fancy" stuff like that. I think you can print it though?
Are you sure you have the most up-to-date reader? (I think it's 9) If you have a much older reader and they have much more modern software/update, that might make a difference too.

I sometimes take a "screen shot" with Alt-Print Screen (which saves an image of the current window to the Clipboard), then use Photoshop (another paid product from Adobe!) to save the image as a JPG file. It's not as convenient as a PDF but it has all the info that was showing in the window. |
