As some of you may have read in General , Angie is having some computer problems.

She cant get her CD ROM tray to open. It keeps saying access is denied. Is this related to her not haviing internet access now? She'll need to have this when she sets up her new internet service I presume. If any of you have ideas please let me know so I can relay this to her. Thanks so much again!

no. whether or not I am logged into the internet or just typing on my word perfect program which is not internet access my disk drive trays open. its most likely something is jammmed as in the button you push to open the tray or that button is wore out or the tray has been bumped off the track. you will need to have the tower serviced meaning take that big box to a computer expert and that person will open it up and fix the button and tray back on track.

I agree that it's probably jammed. Depending upon the hardware manufacturer, there is a secret hole next to the eject button. She can stick a paper clip in there and it should pop out. Her hardware manufacturer would know best, though. I agree that it doesn't have anything to do with the internet.
