I think that in many chats there needs to be a moderator who supports the room. Not only a member who opens it. Well - it might be impossible. What i am saying is that its hard - we are trying to make a safe place for people here - but how can it be really safe?
There are people with disorders who get very hurt and get triggered easily - but there are also people with aggressiveness etc. But i guess safety is an illusion. We can`t be safer here than we are anywhere else. |

We say this as a reminder here all the time -- chat is not for everyone.
Since we do not have 24/7 coverage of the chat rooms, we have to rely on members acting on their best behavior, respecting the community guidelines as well as each other. We do take care of problems retroactively, and while this is not always ideal, it seems to remind members that even in chat, bad behavior won't be tolerated. But 99.9% of members don't need that reminder, because they are respectful and treat other members well. If you haven't had good experiences in the chat rooms, they may not be for you. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee a positive experience for everyone, everywhere in the community. Best, DocJohn
