I hope I have come to the right board.

I am a member from a little more than a year ago but could not remember my password so I re-registered. I had just finished typing up a lengthy supportive post but a message popped up to say that I was limited to 5 posts in a 24 hour period until 15 posts are reached.

I read the Community Guidelines, and unless I am missing it, I see nothing about this there.

I was exceptionally offended at the time (and lost my long supportive post). Before I completely overreacted, I received some valuable advice to request that perhaps it might be possible to add some text somewhere, perhaps when one is registering, explaining that this will happen and why. I feel that this will reduce hurt and confusion for new posters. It certainly would have reduced mine as I would have known I could not post more than 5 times in a 24 hour period.

When this limit was implemented late last year, the following line was added to the registration agreement:

Please Note: New members are limited to 5 posts/day for the first 15 posts.

This has also been added to the Community Guidelines. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I did not read the registration agreement, having registered once before, so that is why I did not pick it up. I am glad it is there.

Thank you for your response, much appreciated.

Sabrina - we can reset your password. That is always preferable than having someone set up a new account.

It was "SabrinaSaw", right? No other letters or numbers?

Send a PM to DocJohn, Kimmydawn, or JustBen with the exact username and your current email address, and they can send you a new or temporary password. I'll let them know you were asking.

That's just the thing. I can't really remember. I underwent ECT around the time I left here and wasn't able to come till now.
I remembered the site but very little of what I posted. (Sad but true)

I think it was Sabrina_saw but I can't be sure!@

I really appreciate your help on this. I am also ok to stay as who I am now and just leave it at that if it will make things easier.

I don't feel that ECT benefited me. But what's done is done. A discussion probably better suited to another board anyway.

Thanks again for all your help.

I have decided that I would like to remain as Sabrina0805, however - would it be possible to have my 110 posts (and profile for that matter) as sabrina_saw added / joined to my new one?

I don't mind leaving things the way they are either. Just wondering.

Sabrina, I'm sorry, it's not a capability to my knowledge. You can use one account or the other. Overreaction with something valid

I don't think that's an option. We could reset the name on your old account to Sabrina0805, though. That way, you'd have all your posts associated with you, and you could still use the new name. Let us know.
