I am not for sure on this, but it might because you have not posted enough as of yet - I think you need to post around 15 to be a full fledged member.

Is your Java up to date? Do you have a pop-up blocker?
# of posts shouldn't have anything to do with it. I've seen people in chat that have never posted on the board. Of course, this could be a new rule that I missed, but I don't think so.

Hi there and welcome.
The number of posts doesn't affect entering chat. However, when trying to go into chat there's a link you can click to download the latest version of java. I had to do that before I could "sit" for more than one min. in a chatroom. I don't know if a pop-up blocker would be an issue here, but it was at another site for me as well. Also, if you have a firewall, it could be allowing you to view the site but preventing you from chatting. I would first turn off my firewall just to see if that's it. If so, you can adjust your settings there. If that doesn't work, then I'd download the latest java. Good luck and please let us know. Again, welcome! KD
