I edited my index page to match my site, and now text that says "Nothing to show" is visible. Can I remove this line? Or can I use some font tags to make it the same color as the background instead?
I did a search in this forum for this problem, but didn't find an answer. Thanks, Mush |

It says that because you haven't yet made an entry to the journal. It lets you know that it's ready to go and is awaiting your first entry. Assumedly you will have to have an entry in the journal before you let people know it's there....

"Nothing to show" came hard coded in my original template -- the index template. There's nothing to cause it to be removed except a text editor, as far as I can tell.

Actually, no. The program will remove it automatically when you post your first entry.

Err.. I get this happening too. I can't see how this removes the message. I'm new to Perl, but the line
if ($main_line =~ /Nothing to show yet./) { print MAIN ""; } has no "else" and so the default print MAIN "$main_line"; causes it to be reinserted anyway. I've archived and added new entries and it appears everywhere still. Does this work for everyone else? Fab script by the way - ;-) Indeed, adding an "else" fixes the issue on my version. |
