The forum needs a section for suicide & suicidal thoughts. PTSDforum.org has one so I do not want to hear any crap that it will cause people to kill themselves.

Thank you for the suggestion.

However, just because another forum offers such resources doesn't mean we should. And we've chosen not to offer such groups here.

Why? Because we don't believe such support groups are necessarily in the best interests of someone who is suicidal. Suicide is serious, and we believe it needs serious, immediate, real-world attention -- something we're simply not equipped to offer. Luckily, members have lots of choices in this area, and there are other online forums that offer support groups for those who are suicidal.

Best,
DocJohn
