So i downloaded and paid for Puffin so i can chat on my ipad. It gets me to the chat room and i can send only one message and then the key board will not show up again. I have to close out and re enter. Pissed.

Hi MoxieDoxie.... Where did you hear that 'Puffin' was supported for use in our chat room?
We do not support any third-party apps to our community. The only exception is Tapatalk app to access the forums (forums only, not chat). DocJohn

Very sorry to hear that...
Sometimes something might work for one member, but not for another, due to the way they are accessing the site, the kind of device they were using, etc. For instance, something might work on iPad on wifi, but won't work on 3g (and vice-a-versa). I'm sure the other members were well-meaning when they recommended trying it. DocJohn

Puffin kind of works for me.
The chat works on something like Flash, which is not supported by Safari, but it is supported by Puffin
