did I miss a memo about why the smilies aren't all working? (hug, grouphug, throb, love to name a few)

And so... you're not seeing these icons in this thread (because I am)? What are you seeing instead? Have you tried clearly your web browser's cache??

amazing.

I clear my cache ALL the time (like every 15 minutes) because I play in the arcade...

since I am not the only one with this issue...
the only drawback I have is a 2.0 modem...would that have anything to do with it? (I can't imagine because that is connected to internet loading etc.. but )

I can see some of the smilies... on the right column the others are : grouphug : :throb : : love : etc but don't show to me when I click on them. I mean that's what I see instead of the icon, I see the script.

I'll continue to put them in posts, even though I don't see them, for the time being.

I use firefox and avast, btw. Is this a browser issue (I really hate IE and have trouble with it otherwise)?

Wonder what others are seeing or not.

It is not an issue affecting other users, or we'd have a lot more technical reports than just yours. So yes, unfortunately, it's something unique to your setup and settings either your malware, avast settings, browser, or something else on your computer. If it works on another browser, then you've narrowed down where the problem resides.

We rarely change things here and haven't had any significant changes to our templates or the forums in years.

What's so confusing is that SOME of the smileys are visible and working for me... but not all.

from the post options when on the right. I had to put extra spaces in to show what I am seeing...because they DO post up in the "copied" table to this post!

Desert sand background color / format doesnt have all the smilies!! Psych central and drfault style do, as do tulips. Im not sure of all the whys and wherefores, but theres a hint for you!

I use the Teal setting and I like it alot. It's easier on my eyes and everything works the way it should.

You realize im king - i should say queen - of the computer lab without actually having ACCESS to the lab? Its what i call macha (not macho) programming - being able to solve a bug without even looking at the program, but just by how it acts. It takes so little to make me happy this made my month, i think!
