An update while ago I think and the list of diagnoses changed so Asperger's no longer exists on my list. Still others have this on their lookups. Why them and not me?

Because they haven't updated their profile and you have. When/if they update their profile, they'll have to pick one of the current disorders that reflects their diagnosis.

Asperger's is no longer a separate disorder, it's considered a mild form of autism.

I updated after I found some slots empty, it wasn't my doing, the updating the list did that. So I updated my profile because that happened. Oh well, tough luck for me, AS is still a valid diagnosis in most places just not USA and where the DSM is used. But I understand you cannot please us all.

Hello and good evening, it's evening in London, UK. I'm a little puzzled by what you've said as As IS a stand~alone diagnosis in England. Sorry, I may well have missed the point here, I be real happy if someone could explain. I don't like getting things wrong, for the simple reason that I could give out the wrong help or information should anybody ask. Thankyou in advance. I send big LOVES and lots of HUGS.

Asperger's is a real and separate diagnosis here as well because we use ICD as you do and it will not be updated for some years yet. But DSM that is used in America abolished all the subgroups of autism so now there is only Autism spectrum disorder there. Someone with Asperger's may or may not fit into ASD according to DSM. But as this is an American site I guess we go by their DX methods.
