it's brackets [ ] instead of parentheses so it's [trigger ] your message [/trigger] I added a space in the first trigger box so you could see what it looks like if you remove that space then it will work

There is a trigger icon that you can add when click on Go Advanced green button at the end of a thread.

You can hide any triggering items
such as this
