You didn't answer my question: it seemed to me that you have an issue with someone with the option "invisible" visiting your profile, what is difference with someone without the invisible option visiting your profile?
Actually no I didn't implicitly agree to anyone visiting my profile but it really doesn't bother me. I don't even care if anyone looks at the pics. I could make them private but that would complicate posting pics in threads. I can see making the "about me" page public but I'm not sure why visitor messages are accessible to anyone other than friends. I understand the software allows full access though. I tolerate it but I don't agree with it implicitly or otherwise.
Sorry I thought I explained the invisible visitor thing. When you're in invisible mode and visit a member's page, you won't show up on the recent visitors list. I consider going into invisible mode to visit someone's profile page surreptitiously to be sneaky and a bit creepy. Why would someone do that? To go into the reasons for that in this thread would probably break some community guideline. I don't want to give the impression that I fret much about breaking rules generally but I believe this one has a valid reason so I respect it.
Now I think I've cluttered up Gus's thread enough

Since what I had on my profile page was used against me by one member that basically followed me around a while, I deleted it. That is one way of handling it.

Actually it makes plenty of sense to me. 99.99% of the time I feel the same way. It's why phones have caller ID, right?

Like I said, I was in a bad place at the time I came here invisibly. When I'm in that place any attempts to contact me feel threatening. I know it's not rational. When I'm feeling that way I "protect" myself but cutting off contact with other people.

nothing on my original post had anything to do with 'invisibility'. i understand that function, and use it. it's kind of annoying when someone doesn't read what's actually written, then talks to themself, and hijacks the thread to deal with their own issues.

thanks to people who tried to help. the only thing that seems true is that the public post on when i am here is an OLD function, and can only be seen by members who have been here at least 3 yrs. ( I hope~!)....

best wishes to all~

Gus, sorry for derailing your thread.

I don't have a solution to your question. I don't see anything about when you last visited when I go to your profile page. I see it on mine, but I don't see it on yours.
Thanks for this!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
