I have noticed a delay in the time it takes to display the "new posts" index page on psychcentral.
It isn't new, I just never felt the need to mention it but it is sometimes difficult to follow discussions here. It isn't just that it is slow but some replies to threads simply aren't displayed as "new posts". It is different on another site that also uses bulletin board code and I was wondering if admin could modify the algorithm? Can you change the refresh time or anything?

To clarify when I say it is loading slowly I don't mean that the page itself is slower than other PC pages to load. Rather I mean the newer posts and replies to posts are not showing up on that particular index page and some never appear.

You'd have to be more specific about what exact threads or posts that you're expecting to see under "New Posts" are not showing up there in order for us to investigate this issue further.
