Hi,

I just wanted to update the site admins that many of us are still experiencing problems with chat freezing or lagging. I have heard others refer to it as "lag" but in my case it frequently freezes entirely, and I have to refresh the page and sometimes even go back to the forums and refresh that page then re-enter chat to get it working properly. This happens many times throughout the day.

I use Google Chrome and it is up-to-date. I find it happen on both of my computers, so it's not an issue with my computer.

Thanks,
Seesaw

I frequently (about 4 times a week) get locked out of chat... I'll go to post something and instead of my post in blue I'll get a red balloon that reads "Sorry you can't post now please try again later" or something similar.

If I close the chat window and close the forum window... Navigate to the forum again and open chat again I can get back in.

The forum window is open in my Chrome browser.

Yes, we haven't done anything on our side, so I wouldn't expect the problem to have been resolved. Hoping that a future server upgrade will help with this issue, scheduled for sometime before the end of the year.

Thanks, Doc. I think we just wanted to make sure y'all knew there were still some technical issues. We're making do with different work arounds at the moment.

Thank you for the update. It is encouraging to know that someone hears and someone cares and something is in the works for the future and doing things differently. That is all we can ask. Thank you.

Usually that requires me to go back into the forums, refresh my tab having the forums open, then reopen chat.

I just don't have the patience for the lagging right now. EVERY single thing I type takes 10 seconds to appear and I can't keep up with conversation.

IPhone, the same thing happens to me. I can't tell if my response was received and just has not shown up yet or did it not go threw at all. So I retype it and send it again, then look stupid.

The lag allows for conversations to continue and once your response appears it is no longer relevant. It makes it very difficult to tell which part of a conversation you are responding to as well. Multiple conversations are taking place and the lag just makes it hard to tell what is what.

I only come here now because this is where all my friends are and it feels like family to me and I do not want to lose touch with my friends. But it appears that people are leaving because of the chat. I know I have. I can go weeks now with out using this chat and checking to see how everyone is.
