and of course simply not having the scrolling ads would be one solution to the problem sky is having.

i don't see why financial information isn't available TO MEMBERS. they are the consumers of the site after all.

would my donation result in less advertising clyde or would be be reinvested in new ventures instead? do i have any say in that?

but whatever whatever

lets just call it 'off topic' and be done with it...

Yes, it happens alot in chat. Funny thing is though, I can continue to type my thought "into" the chat window and it continues to log it, even though I'm not viewing that window. scrolling advertisements... (FYI I'm using IE)

Now, I don't know if this is connected to the problem but if I keep noting things, maybe someone will come up with an idea. I 'm beginning to think this might be more of a system problem rather than PC.

I noticed the blue balls on the PC logo don't spin any more when a page is loading. scrolling advertisements... scrolling advertisements... if that means anything.

It's been a long time since I tried Firefox here... but dumped it because it was too much of a bother about something scrolling advertisements... I guess I could use firefox for chat only and use IE for the rest of the site. IDK.

I think it would be worth it to try and see. This way you could chat uninterrupted until you figure out what's going on with your settings?

Also, have you checked for IE updates? Just a thought...

Love,

KD

Since the scrolling ad's have been featured here, this happens to me with EVERY single (quick) reply I post. It usually freezes after I have typed a few words. When it unfreezes, whatever I have typed goes poof and I have to start again. I've even temporarily stopped playing on the games forum because of this. Taking care of my anxiety levels, you see!
