It is taking long time to load, and it makes me double post.

Social groups now completely screwed up. There are boxes with question marks in them.

Safari browser on Mac.

Yes, that's a new feature. Social group leaders would need to set their social group image or icon in order to change that question mark into something else...

We are working on the slowness of the forums.... it's a work in progress, definitely.

This seems to have wiped out some data from social groups? All of the posts except the first are gone, all but one photo, and no group forum that I can see. Is there something I can do? Or just start over?

Nope, all of your discussions are there under that first and only topic.

What's happened is that social groups used to just have one long discussion on their page (much like a member's wall). With the new version of the software, it supports threaded discussions in the groups themselves. That means all social groups now have built-in forums.

However, since we already implemented forums for social groups a long time ago as an add-on, your group may choose to continue using the forum it already has (if it has its own forums -- smaller social groups do not).

Sorry it's so confusing.... that's what happens when we change things around a bit...

In at least some of my social groups, there are no new messages for several years. Ones that were there are gone.**

One group had a forum but that is gone now, along with all its recent threads.

**Maybe all new messages are at the end now, instead of appearing at the top of the group of messages. You have to go to "Last" to see them. That should be reversed.

Social groups are messed up.

Sorry, apparently I didn't explain myself clearly enough in my previous message about social groups.

All of the messages that were in each group are now in a single thread. That thread acts just like threads in forums, where the most recent messages appear at the end (not like at the top, as in the old format).

You can now create new threads in each social group, directly on that group's page. You no longer have to use the social group forums (but you can continue to do so if you please).

I don't see how to start a new Social Group thread.

OK; I see it now:

There is a "Post New Discussion" option.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
