Did the default 10 change, and how can I change it back to 10? I know it used to be an option, but I can’t find it now.

Yes, it was changed from 10 to 20. And yes, you can change it back to 10 under "Thread Options" here:

https://mysupportforums.org/profile.php?do=editoptions

Thanks unaluna for detailing where that option is!

Do we need to stop and start threads at 50 pages or is that still 100 pages?

I think the page number shows our option (but that's just a guess). So if you choose 10 posts per page, you'll see the thread at "200 pages." Again, just a guess.

Thanks, una and @DocJohn. So I took it back to ten posts, but now if I click on the little icon after the name of the last person who posted so I can go to the last post, I end up halfway through the thread. Like on a 78-page thread, I end up on page 39.

ETA: likewise if I make or edit the last post in a thread, after hitting post or save I’m taken back to the halfway point of the thread.

Oh thats interesting. Sloppy sloppy programming!

Why dont you browse last post first? Thats what i do. Thats why i like a long page. I open the thread on the last post, and i just scroll down (or up) until i see where i left off.

Sometimes i get distracted and come in on the middle of something and will post my 2 cents then have to start all over again, but youre more disciplined than i am!
Thanks for this!

That has to do with your post pointers, saving the place where you last read a post in a thread, which should reset themselves after a day or two to your new preference.

You can also reset your read posts progress yourself by clicking on the "Mark forums read" link on the homepage:

https://mysupportforums.org/

It's near the bottom of that page right above the "What's going on" section.

This will clear all these pointers and tell your account that you're caught up on reading all new posts in every forum. Next time you login, everything *should* be working as expected.

Can you provide the link or help me navigate to where you're having this problem....? I have been unable to reproduce it myself, but maybe I'm not looking at the right thing....

On any multi-page thread. For instance, the Couch in psychotherapy.

Even a thread only on its second page—I click to go to the last post, end up on page 1.

Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Edge.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
