I just found out again that I'm on a ignore list - anyone who knows me, knows that ignore lists are a major major trigger for me.

This is forcing me off of the forum. If someone wants to mentally ignore me that's fine, but finding out I'm on any ignore list reopens stuff that happened on a different forum.

If I leave here I will be using a different forum that I help out on, instead.

The Ignore list is a self-care tool we offer our members as a means to help in their own healing process. It is not meant as some sort of "punishment" against other members, and should've be viewed as anything other than the tool it is.

It's triggering to me too, as these are people I used to talk to ALL the time for years. And it's on other sites. I didn't DO anything to them. Wth?

Yeah it's a self-care tool, whether here or elsewhere but it doesn't have to be so BLUNT. It sounds accusatory. "YOU are on this person's ignore list" like "YOU have been charged with assault." It's the verbiage used.

We're always open to suggestions on how others might like it worded. It currently gives the following error message:

If you have it as bookmarked site, I think you can remove it by picking "edit". Or close that window down. Clearing the browser history might help. This is on a iPhone so I don't know about Androids. I'm not too technical and am still learning stuff on my phone.

What makes it traumatic is what it got used for in 2012 when that year was already filled with bad, literally nothing good happened that year, and on the spiritual forum me and admins pet member got told to ignore each other, which i obeyed she didnt

Then she ran to the admin whos pet she was, which then resulted in that admin having several go at me for following mod instruction and that pet member kept trying to get reactions out of me so if i kept ignoring her, admin would have a major go at me, and when i tried telling her to leave me alone she ran to the same admin again and i got another massive go at me so i cant win

We understand our members come from a great deal of varied backgrounds with different kinds of trauma they may still be dealing with, even things from over a decade ago. I'm sure some members are still processing things from even longer. I'm sorry you went through this kind of trauma and I do hope you find a place online that meets your needs better. Take care.

When a member asks for an account removal, they're welcomed back any time. We have no issues with members leaving and then returning in the future.

My trauma issues have resulted in many a misstep along the way ...

I'm on about my 4th or 5th reincarnation here at MSF!
