How do you change the font colour?

<font color="purple"> </font> I've had my cursor in this box, then clicked on a colour I wanted, and it says the colour in the display box.

But when I post the message, the colour hasn't changed.

Air-head asking for advice. Font Colour Font Colour

Thanks!

Sandy

From one air head to another (at times)

When you click on the color, it posts both the opening and closing of the prompt/command. (Don't ask ME why, and I've asked DocJohn WAAAAYYY too many questions already about this new server! LOL)

You need to decide PRIOR to typing what color you want for that print... and type inbetween the bracketed commands. I'll show here, but use parens instead (or it will color and not show what I want!)

(color: purple) type in between (/color)

If you decide, like I do, OH maybe some color would make that easier to read... then just type the bracket info yourself. like: (colorurple) If I want it all the same color, I don't bother with closing the command. IF you DO want to change colors, then type in the opening command again with the new color specified such as: (color:blue) (Use BRACKETS though!)

One problem I have noticed: if you EDIT a post later, the BB codes do NOT work. Instead of italics you will see the code, etc. Same for colors.

This sucks! Can it be fixed?

Yeah, DocJohn is aware of this bug. He'll have to wait for the folks who wrote the code to fix it, then he'll have to apply the fix. Until then, we'll gotta live with it.
