I've been trying to install the oj code to my webpage for the last day or so. I finally got it to work in the upperlevel directories of my site, but I'm still having problems with it.

For one ... my archives aren't showing up at all. I get the link that says "week of [date]" but that link leads to a blank page. In order to get any of my entries to show up on my index page, I have to archive BEFORE I make any entries. When they do show, they repeat ... I get the dateline twice, and all the entry blurbs and links show up twice on the page.

When it comes to logging in, it never holds my login, I keep having to log back in ... and if I ever click the link that says "return to open journal console" I get an error that simply says "ok" and I have to log back in.

Am I the only one who is having these problems?

Archives pages:
Sounds as if the permission on the directory isn't set properly. If the Web server can't write to that directory (default: story), then nothing will show up in it.

Also, make sure that the system date is being displayed properly in the console. If its not being able to get the right date, it could lead to other problems.

Logging on:
Same problem. The program isn't able to write to the ojauth directory it needs to (default: found in the cgi-bin directory). You need to ensure the Web server can write to this directory or move it to a place it can write to it.
