Sorry, this is I guess an OT ?. I would like to know a way that I can block myself access to a certain website. I don't have a firewall. Can it be done through ie or some other means? I'd like to do this similiar to the way parents block sites for their children to keep them safe. I need to block a certain site so I can't be tempted to get to it. It's a very unhealthy and painful site for me.

Anyone know? How can I block a site so I can't get access to it?

Can you find a friend to do it for you? I'd be happy to give him/her instructions, but if I just tell you, then you'd also know how to unblock it if you cave.

I should have someone do that for me for THIS site. I spend wayyyyy too much time here sometimes!

ANGELGIRL: I typed the answer for you in the other forum where you asked the Q. And I can't remember right now which forum that was. LOL.

How can I block a site so I can't get access to it?

Yes, I saw it and replied. As was said above, in order for this to really work for me, I would need someone else to do it for me, so that I can't undo it myself. Since, I don't really have that option, then I will have to really work on my self-discipline. I'm not really good in that area and this particular site is very harmful to my mental and emotional well-being. The problem is that I'm also good at self-destructing behaviours. This is going to be very difficult for me to do but I must do it. That site has brought me much harm. How can I block a site so I can't get access to it?

Thanks everybody for your help. How can I block a site so I can't get access to it?
