For what my two cents is worth (essentially zero), I gotta side with __zh here. I don't like ANYTHING shoved in my face, especially religion. I can live with most of the avatars (except for the creepy ones), but it's the big, humongo pictures at the bottom of everybody's posts now that gets me. SeptMorn's, Ozzie's, they're small, they're not that obtrusive, I can deal. The people who have ones that are practically 8.5 x 11 freak me out.

I'll cast my vote with the folks who want an ignore button for extraneous art.

Candy

i agree that religious avatars gross me out as well,,,, but thats religious freedom in one of it's many forms...
as is the freedom to have "demonic" or creepy avatars too...
so maybe doc john will give the squirmish the option to ignore certain avatars while still allowing freedom of expression.

Hey candy. I, for one, love your avatars......so much so that I even swiped your current one, but I promise not to use it here. It reminds me a little of Wednesday Addams, who I always thought was pretty. p.poo

ty pebbly,
the one thats up now with the huge hollow eyes, was taken from another site, and then modified to be pink with hollow black eyes...

(i kinda feel like i created that exact one, so maybe just out of curtesy could you modify it a tad in your paint program? i just kinda bugs when i see exact replicas of my creations on other sites)

sorry if im being a buzz kill....
im happy as hell you like them cuz they are an expression of how i feel.

No problem. That's why i said I wouldn't use it here, because I know sometimes it kind of takes the "uniqueness" of the artwork away from the original poster, especially when it's a pic they used for their avatar.

I'll let the forum developers know of the request... they're putting out a new version in another month or two, so hopefully it'll make it in there.
