When I try a search using a keyword that uses accent marks (cedilla, umlaut, etc...), the accent marks in the results are not displayed properly:
e.g. http://www.sarasotadowntown.com/cgi-...arch=Português The same search on dmoz.org works properly. I suspect the POD script makes assumptions that about characters being non-Unicode (0-255 instead of a wider range) What should I look at in the perl code? Do you have a fix? |

Look for the thread titled "POD error in DMOZ World categories", where I have hacked the script to solve the problem for me. However, I suspect it won't work in all foreign character sets.
You need to read both posts for the full fix. |
