i need help. my husband says i have a problem with, as he says, spinning the facts. i have a hard time telling each person the same facts each time. i was not even aware i was doing this until recently. he now wants a divorce and i don't. if i don't change this it will be too late for my marriage. i used to think i was a good person, but now i am not so sure.

no therapist yet. some other parts to the same story are. we got pregnant and decided to give the baby up to our best friends to adopt. he has closed my cleaning business down due to the fact he did not feel it was making enough money. took my car to sell, was in his name and he didn't feel he could afford the payments. shut down my cell phones because they were in the business name. i have no way of making money right now so i don't know how to seek therapy. he is still living here but there is no communication other than email. i feel like i am totally alone and i am miserable, i will do anything it takes to make my marriage work. i do not set out to lie to people. let me give an example...i had an episode of bleeding(a little bit) during this pregnancy. i told my husband about it, but not to our friends who will be adopting this child. he says that was lying, i did not want them to worry. i did call my doctor right awaty however, and was told to rest with my feet up to see if the bleeding would stop. it did. that is one example

there might be a county or state clinic in your area where you can get therapy that you won't have to pay for. also, ministers will provide couples counselings. the Catholic Charities have free counseling. good luck, pat
