They say the apple never falls far from the tree. Just depends which tree I guess. I'm sure it was hard on mom to not have that control over me anymore, and she probably missed me being there as well. But I had to go.

My mom left at 17. My mom was physically abusive, narcissistic and borderline too. I had to go and wanted to go. My daughter is welcome to stay with me as long as she doesn't do drugs or drink under my roof. I'm not into control and it doesn't work anyways.

Just started therapy, first time.
My therapist seems ok, but at this point I would not know a good one from a bad one. I find much of it so far a bit overwhelming.
So much to learn about a subject I know very little about.
Will be taking DBT at the end of the year, another thing I know nothing about.

I am still adjusting to the fact I have PTSD.

Yes, it's a lot of getting used to new stuff and overwhelming. Just don't get frustrated, and if you do come talk to us about it, okay? Good luck and I hope all works out well.
