I know PC has a lot of quizzes and I have taken several of them. I had saved the results and it was interesting to go back and see that not much has changed.
Do you feel that they are valid?

I think they are entertaining and could be a source of info to bring to a therapist .

I think some of them hit pretty close to home, and that they could be used as a part of the investigative process of diagnosis. Did you do the "Sanity Score" on PC?

Yes, I've done it a few times. I'll check my current score.

Uh oh. That's very high. Mine was 34, in December 2015. The higher it is the more at risk you are if I remember correctly, I just looked it up tonight.

I looked it up again and it was 135, but the description didn't sound that bad.

" Your Sanity Score 135 :Based upon your answers, you appear to be experiencing some distress at the moment -- your overall mental health is affected by this distress. People with similar scores tend to experience more difficulty in coping with life, and may feel like they need more help than they're currently getting. Because of this, your mental health could likely use a little boost. If you have been feeling this way for longer than 2 weeks' time, people similar to you have sought out professional care from a mental health professional, such as a psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist. "

Yes, 4th round. Remember I also had a PD NOS. I'm actually going to write a thread about my theory that you can diagnose and treat complex PTSD by diagnosing and treating PTSD and PD.

NOS?
Oh that's a disturbing thought going through DBT again.
Yes, you should post your theory . Are you saying people with PTSD have a PD?

Not otherwise specified and yes, complex PTSD, which can't be diagnosed officially. If you read about complex PTSD and borderline you will see there is a lot of crossover. Also later on I learned that the mood stabilizer I am taking is also used to treat anger in women with bpd.
I remember talking to the therapist last year when I got some bad news and needed help. She had diagnosed me with GAD. We kind of laughed about it and said my problems were at a higher level now so rather then interpersonal problems (personality disorder ) I was having anxiety. Online quizes...valid or not?

We don't discuss diagnosis so not sure what my T thinks and I don't know that I really want to know. I guess in my dream world I think a switch will be thrown and all of this will be behind me.
Thanks for this!

Maybe I should ask my T, but then again I don't think she knows me well enough to make that call.

Yeah I don't know that I want to know, one case where I feel being kept in the dark is a benefit for me.

Here's why I like knowing my dx: a lot of people put a lot of stuff on me that is not true. I like knowing what the truth is.

Well as long as you are okay with it there's no problem. We all have our reasons for what we want and do, right?
Thanks for this!

Yes people like to make false accusations against me so I like knowing who I am without put downs.
