Yes I can imagine that would be very difficult. To read and see that in your own life would be for me disturbing... So I can only image what that will be like... Chin up. It will get better.

I have only read small amounts of "the Tao..." And that was when it had been quoted in articles, etc. that might be worth reading considering my current mental health status and that of my partner. Right now I am looking to buy when it goes on sale

I do not have a brain injury.
But even before I was diagnosed with PTSD. The subject has been of interest to me... specifically brain chemistry and the development of personality changes that can occur after such an event. As perception, neurological development, have been on on going interest, more like a hobby since I am not a medical professional this is just part of that... Everyone needs a hobby , so I have been told.

I think it's important to understand that all human beings grow and develop around their social environment and even cultural environment. So, if a child grows up in a toxic environment, they can most definitely develop some "traits" based on what they experienced in their possibly dysfunctional social home environment or cultural environment.

I agree and I think often times what people call a narc may be fleas, however malignant narcissists are harmful. I don't think complex PTSD and NPD overlap, I was only speaking to c-PTSD and BPD based on my reading. I actually have compassion for people with narcissistic traits or even NPD as I know how they got that way: early childhood trauma. It's not their fault their development was arrested. That doesn't mean I let them hurt me however I also don't judge them. I think anyone can recover if they want to. I can't speak to malignant narcissism however and I recognize that is different .
