A few months ago, my husband told me that he didn't remember a lot of the last half of last year, like our anniversary, thanksgiving or anything really. He's been very disconnected off and on since his meltdown in August. Can anyone else relate to that. He also acted WAY out of charcter!

About 2 months ago, shortly after we moved, he came across the racing bib from our 5K on Thanksgiving. It's sort of a loose tradition for us to run it every year. So he asked me, "Did we run a 5K this last time?"
"Yes." "Just a few months ago?" "Yeah." "Hm. Where did we go for Thanksgiving?" I'm in awe right now. "Um...my mom's." He starts to think more deeply. "OOOOH...yeah!" "You don't remember honey?" "No." "What else don't you remember?" "I've forgotten everything from September when I came back until right before Christmas. Did we do anything for our anniversary?" "Not really." At this point, light bulbs are going off in my head because it makes SO much sense as to why he was acting like he did! Then right before Christmas, he seemed a lot more like himself. This went on for about 3-4 weeks. Also, from mid November until Feb 1, he was working out of town again (where we live now). So, I know that being away from us for so long last year, probably didn't help with his dissociation. |

He does. I keep encouraging him to do that.
