Here's a link to Kati Morton's 13 Reasons Why review. She makes a lot of good points on this show, but it is tv. But she mentions that the show is very triggering and she doesn't recommend people watching it that could be triggered.
Is 13 Reasons Why season 1 BAD? Kati Morton talks about Hannah, Clay & Bryce - Your Mental Health Community

The reason I posted this is too give a trigger warning to the show. We are all going through a lot and don't need the extra triggers to work on us.

Has anyone seen this already? What's your opinion of it?

I haven't even heard of it. What channel/network is it on?

Netflix, Kati is really upset about it. She doesn't want the members to be triggered by this show.

I wouldn't doubt that it's leading to copycat acts. It seems to be a social norm to find shocking ways, to show to other people, young people's desire to be part of something big and shocking, it's very sad. What's worse is producers making it sound cool and okay. To not show resources to deal with these feeling and emotions. To give validity to these reason for doing it. Makes my blood boil.

Wow, even people not in the MH field are saying it's not a good thing to watch. Thanks for sharing this.

I've been watching it. Not sure if it's the right or wrong thing for me to do, but my curiosity is keeping me watching.

Just be careful, stop if it starts triggering you.

I watched it and finished it within twenty-four hours, as it caught my attention and I enjoyed it for what it was: TV.

No, I don't recommend it for those easily triggered by certain topics. I'm not easily triggered, myself, and even I felt the need to shut off the television and take a moment to journal and breathe after seeing it. It was difficult to watch towards the end of the season.

However, it was well written, well acted and a great job in every department. I appreciated the accuracy and the overall production of this show. I recommend only for those who are in a 'good' place in their minds.

Thanks for the review. Sounds like it would not be a good choice for most of us here. I think the thing is that you have to recognize this is a tv program and not true story. I think what's got most in arms is they don't want to see anything portraying suicide as an option since the young people can be personally persuaded so easily. That's what I've gotten from other reviews.

Thanks I have finished the series now. Definitely graphic in places and huge potential for triggering. But I am ok with it. Seeing my T this week and I might discuss it there.
