Is there a time when you think therapy is doing more damage than good? Not being a therapist myself I don't know how they think. I'm sure they push, sometimes a little too hard just to get you moving in a positive direction. But what if they are treating you for the wrong thing? What if you have multiple diagnosis and while they are working on one it makes the other one a lot worse?

You raise a good question there. I don't have a good answer. From my perspective, I would say that I don't see therapy being bad for me, at least not with my current therapist. She seems well versed in trauma therapy and seems to understand I'm not ready to dig into it yet.
I can see where that could be for different people with different therapists though.

I guess taking each situation on it's own merit and trying to figure out why the therapy wasn't working, or making things worse, would be a starting point for client and T.
