Is it such a thing? Since our emotions attached to trauma are the daggers of our soul. Why couldn't this be a true issue?
How many do you think there are?
I know of one for sure and that's having expectations from people.Anyone agree? Disagree? Comments?
Just Googled emotional self harm and it is a real thing, wow.

What other self harm actions are there without the normal ones that most of us think about when you hear the word self harm? Do you think self harm is always a conscious effort?

Underestimating what you are capable of, or minimizing what you've accomplished? On the extreme end anyway. Blaming yourself for others problems/struggles?

Not being honest with one's self in how they might give to others more than themselves.

That Toxic Inner Critic ... The one we develop while enduring horrid abuses day after day, month after month, year after year ...It rages on long after we've left our abusive environments ... The more I challenge it, the smaller it gets, but it won't ever completely disappear, and ... A good sign I'm not taking care of myself like I should be is when it starts to rear its ugly head again!

Not taking a compliment.
Constant people-pleasing instead of taking care of oneself.
Pushing people away because you don't think you deserve them.

Good ones. When we think about this topic and write these great ideas down I wonder if people ever thought of them as being emotional self harm? I know I didn't. I thought it was just the way were and I had had not control over it, but I do, may take time and work but it is something I can work on.
