I'm here, I still check in daily, just kind of blah and usually can't find the right things to say. Just getting done with vacation. Had a lot of stuff that I wanted to do (fun stuff and not so fun stuff) but didn't do a lot of it. I wanted to do a few day trips but my daughter wasn't interested so I ended up doing only one of them, because even though I don't mind doing stuff by myself, I hate being the only person that's not with a group. I did get a lot of outdoor time and rest though so that was good. Got a tan without burning.

So back to work today, and I'm actually looking forward to it, which is weird for me.

Any time off is good. But when I was working I was the same way, once it was over I was ready to go back to work to get a rest I guess Congrats on the tan

I usually dread going back to work, so it's weird that I'm looking forward to it. My outlook will probably change once I see my email though.....

your thread question of where everyone is... this week in america is a holiday week called the 4th of July. man people travel to friends and family for BBQ's, Picnics and partying and fireworks. some have to travel to other towns and states.

my point the holiday times are usually very quiet on the website compared to other times.

Still here, just about...waiting for Thursday, so I can talk through a triggering experience with R. It was just a conversation, but I was back there again.

I'm here! But I'm new, so no one really knows me yet
Plus whenever I come to make a post or a comment, I have a tendency to delete it before I post anything. It's weird, but it's something I do.

I'm here. Felt very reflective and quiet over the last week. It's maybe a positive thing for me, less intense feelings.

Still here...but started a full time job
I've had to stop with counseling since their office has same hours as mine. I'm not sure how these changes will affect me. I want to stay active with the forums, though. I'll likely need it"

It was last week but I know some of my neighbors are just coming back from their 4th of July vacation, they wanted to actually go a little later to avoid some of the crowds. I do the same thing in Sept. we say we are going to beach for Labor Day actually it's a few days later, or the following weekend to avoid all the kids and other people. It's nice
Really any holiday the week before or the week after are usually slow times. I can't stand to be away from you guys for that long, so I take a laptop with me to keep in touch Partner not impressed , but it keeps me happy
This forum is my support system. I don't talk with anyone else even my T like I talk to you guys. Sad but true.

yes it was but 4th of july celebrations go on for more than just one day. many people take up to 2 week vacations and celebrate the 4th for and during those two week vacations. for some people the 4th of july is like christmas. we know christmas is december 25th but there are those who celebrate it starting in november day after thanksgiving straight through to just beyond the new year. especially those who may not have been able to get the actual day july 4th off from work they take their 4th of july afterwards...
Thanks for this!

I actually still delete more posts than I submit. It's all good. Glad to have you here. I consider the CPTSD board to be "my home away from home". I self-isolate a lot, so I guess I tend to do that here too sometimes.

The day actually went quite well. Had an urgent request for a new page on the website that hit me at 7 am and it didn't frustrate me at all. Pulled it off with no problem (it was a custom coding situation and I'm the only one on our team that can do this currently). I led a meeting about Accessibility on our website with our team that went well too.

I was glad to get home in get in the backyard with my cats and dogs and take a swim. My backyard is my sanctuary (it doesn't look it, someday it will, when I retire and have more time), but these last couple years it's really just a neutral zone for me. I discussed that with my therapist yesterday.

Awesome!!! Good job, you may have been sensing there was a need for you to get back and correct something. Really happy that day turned out so well for you.

Trace, I'm still here, brother from a different mother. Generally doing OK, it certainly could be worse. There is a kind of a mild haze, or brain fog that's been over me for few days. A bit of a low grade headache persisting, too, I may be coming out of it now, I hope. I am more aware of a lack of sharpness, a kind of dullness. I can tell when I play computer chess, I am not playing well, at all. Sometimes it feels like I lost about 20 IQ points. Maybe my TBI is acting up a little. Good luck with your new program, Trace. Shalom.
