Dropping by to say hi again.

CPTSD is one of my major diagnoses. I should probably drop by more often. I do read here at times. It's often very quiet. I haven't much to add here, I feel.

Trace, glad you are back safely from your trip.

I hope all are as well as can be today.

I have a parasitology exam on Friday. It is scaring for some reason

I don't know why the idea of sitting in a classroom is scaring, surrounded by people.

It's very sad. Never thought that the USA would face such violent times on home soil.

I'm here. I've been in one of those, "type up a post and then delete it modes" for the last several days. My daughter seems to be doing very good.

Work has been very stressful and about to get more stressful. The search for a manager for my sub-team has not led to any qualified candidates so far and we just found out that the manager of another sub-team has taken another job. She handled a huge amount of projects and kept tight control of them so we are kind of foggy on where most of them stand. I'll probably take over some of them.

Then on top of all that, rumors have been circulating about our division chief drinking on the job for several months. I took it with a grain of salt because I didn't see anything specific myself. But earlier this week I smelled alcohol on his breath at 9:00 am and then in a meeting he was having a hard time staying on topic and appeared to be at least mildly intoxicated. I don't want him to get fired. I don't know who they'd put in charge of us if that happened, but two options I can think of would be horrible for us. I feel like our team is imploding.

Oh well, what can you do. One day at a time.

Wow, that is a lot to deal with at work. Remember though mouthwash, Listerine strips, and diabetes also gives a sweet , or alcohol smell to the breath. Also a blood sugar issue could cause the confusion. You may want to ask him, if he does that again, if he's okay.Or if he has sugar issues. That would let him know you were noticing something different without accusing him of the alcohol. It may very well be alcohol, but other things may mimic that as well.
The other positions may be a problem though. I hope you can find replacements for them soon.
So happy that your daughter is doing so well. Must make you proud to see the child you raised blossoming into this wonderful young woman. Good job!!!!

Anything we can do for you? Hope it gets better from here. I know healing is not a linear process but those valleys can be very consuming and hard to find a way out sometimes. We are here for you.

There's no excuse for people being so mean and ugly. Makes you wonder what they are going through to make them that way. What unresolved issues they are dealing with, ya know? Some are just mean and that's sad for them.

I also stopped smoking medical Mary Jane and what do I do is hang out with someone who pressure me to do it. Which I almost my head space to my ex bfs voice. Ah it was I sat down and watched as I was passed the jay and all I see was the first time we smoked up together as a couple me and my ex abusive bf that I ran away a province to where I am now! I watched it all play out as I took a drag. It was all really surreal. I don't want to hang out with my friend anymore if I see my ex boyfriend. I think I am okay with that though, he already crossed the line by groping his friend is more his girl now. I am not sure what to make of it, it triggered me something that happened a few months ago.

Anyways I am hanging out by self in my apartment because my other guy friend isn't home or he is and completely out like a light.

You bring up good points about the sugar/diabetes issues. I hadn't thought about that. Others have noticed it later in the day. I'm going to hope for that and the next time someone mentions it, I'm going to drop that as a possibility.

The other two positions are going to be an issue though.

Yes my daughter is happy, and that is great. I do wish she'd start working towards getting her license or a part time job though. Anxiety gets the best of her and it's tough for her, but I also know that if she could get beyond the anxiety, she could do anything she set her mind to. She has to find her path though and it could take time.
